The funds are used for the congregation's public benefit activities and the maintenance of buildings and areas used for public benefit purposes as follows:
- synagogue maintenance, upkeep, and repair costs
- cemetery and chapel maintenance, upkeep, and repair costs, as well as cemetery expansion
- costs incurred from organizing worship services.
